Holiday Planning

For many, the approaching holidays can be a source of considerable stress.  Our schedules are already full with the daily routine of work, household responsibilities and recreational activities.  Starting with Halloween at the end of October, through New Year’s Day two months later, our normal schedules are expanded with additional tasks related to holiday events – costumes, meal planning, parties, shopping, decorating, baking, holiday cards, household guests, travel arrangements, school breaks, pageants, plays, parades – the list is almost endless.  It’s no wonder we tend to get overwhelmed.

Time Cannot be Managed

Is time management a myth?  Harold Taylor of Harold Taylor Time Consultants, Inc. contends that it is.  We are all provided with the same amount of time each day – we can use it wisely, or waste it, but we can’t save it.  And turning back time is proof positive that we have no control over time; we only have control over how we manage ourselves and the priorities we choose for ourselves.
